Meet the Founder

Alejandro Valtierra is a Mexican & Puerto Rican writer, actor, producer, publisher, podcast host, costume designer & makeup artist.
​
His passion for acting shines in films that have been showcased at domestic & international events, including HollyShorts, Outfest & LALIFF (LA Latino International Film Festival). He has also performed in theatrical works for Short+Sweet Hollywood, Brisk LA, Casa 0101 & Frida Kahlo Theater.

Since 2020, he co-produced and co-hosted the podcast Damsels in the DMs: The Come Up Podcast with Lauren Elizabeth Harris and Aash Patel. Weekly episodes feature insightful, hilarious, and heartwarming interviews with artists and storytellers from around the world, leaders in entertainment, entrepreneurs & advocates who have paved their own paths toward success.
Alejandro is committed to educational equity & advocacy of underrepresented voices in the media. His knowledge of the publishing industry comes from more than a decade of creating books aimed at supporting literacy development among elementary students. Alejandro founded Insouciant Press to help aspiring authors publish & protect their intellectual property as they advance their work to various stages of production.
